In response to a request from the Nepal Kagyu Sangh Association, on June 7, 2026, at Tergar Osel Ling, the monastic seat of Kyabje Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, situated in the vicinity of the sacred Swayambhu stupa, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa bestowed the long life empowerment of Machik Drubpe Gyalmo — according to the hearing lineage of Rechungpa Dorje Drakpa, the moon-like heart disciple of Jetsün Milarepa.

The empowerment was bestowed upon an audience of approximately six to seven thousand, including an assembly of tulkus, khenpos, and monastics upholding the three sets of vows who illuminate the teachings, together with faithful devotees of all ages from Tibet and the Himalayan regions and devoted disciples who had traveled from various parts of the world.

Together with the empowerment, Guru Vajradhara graciously bestowed invaluable guidance on what conduct and ways of thinking to adopt and avoid in order to bring about both temporary and ultimate benefit.
