On the morning of June 8, 2026, the twenty-second day of the Vaishakha month according to the Tibetan calendar—a sacred month commemorating many deeds of our compassionate Teacher, Buddha Shakyamuni, including his birth in this world—Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa was escorted to the great temple of Tergar Osel Ling by a procession of monks carrying incense and took his seat upon the throne. Accompanied by the chanting of auspicious verses, the entire assembly of Tergar Osel Ling offered a mandala together with the three sacred representations to Guru Vajradhara, after which ceremonial tea and sweet rice were served to all those gathered.
Guru Vajradhara presided over the launch of a published collection of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's treasure teachings and biography. Following an address by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche on the significance of the occasion, the khenpos demonstrated debates on the five major philosophical treatises. Guru Vajradhara then presented the khenpos with their certificates, after which Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche conferred upon them the khenpo hat and the namjar, the yellow upper robe. Guru Vajradhara subsequently bestowed guidance and ethical advice.
Finally, the enthronement ceremony was brought to an auspicious conclusion as the newly appointed khenpos offered a long-life ceremony to Guru Vajradhara, while the assembled gathering presented ceremonial scarves to the new khenpos.
