On the morning of June 20, 2026, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited the Jonang Buddhist Institute of Ngedön Takten Shedrup Chökhor Ling at the sacred site of Yangleshö (Pharping) in Nepal.The monastery's abbot, tulkus, lamas, khenpos, and monastic assembly, together with the Jonang School's teachers, staff, and students and faithful monastic and lay devotees who had gathered from various regions, welcomed him with an elaborate traditional golden procession and escorted him to the main temple. After Guru Vajradhara paid homage to the sacred representations and took his seat on the throne, traditional tea and sweet rice were offered to the entire assembly.

Guru Vajradhara then bestowed upon the assembled gathering a reading transmission of the “Ganges Mahamudra,” along with precious guidance and advice on cultivating pure perception toward the non-sectarian teachings of the eighteen great pillars of academic and practice lineages, and on the importance of maintaining, upholding, and propagating the Dharma and lineage to which one is connected through the power of karma and aspiration. The assembly then offered a mandala and the three sacred representations, after which the monastery’s abbot delivered a vote of thanks.

Guru Vajradhara performed consecration rituals and blessings for both the outer structures and inner sacred supports of the monastery, including its main temple and the great stupa. He also planted a tree in the garden and graciously confered his signature upon a thangka bearing verses of prayer for the flourishing of the Jonang lineage, drawn from the prayer for the flourishing of the eight chariots of practice lineages composed by Guru Vajradhara himself. The visit concluded auspiciously with a group photograph taken together with the monastery's khenpos, lamas, and monastics, and the entire assembly of the school’s teachers, staff, and students, followed by a midday meal.
