At the earnest request and invitation jointly extended by the Zanskar Buddhist Association, the Zanskar Buddhist Association Women Wing, the Zanskar Buddhist Association Youth Wing, the Zanskar Gonpa Association, and the Lambardar Association Zanskar, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa arrived in Zanskar in the afternoon of July 10, 2026. The Zanskar Welcoming Delegation received Guru Vajradhara at Jispa in Lahaul, and at the summit of Shinku La Pass, he performed a smoke offering and libation offering and raised prayer flags. At the foot of the majestic self-arisen Mahakala mountain, he performed the entrustment of enlightened activity to the protector deity and an exhortation to the oath-bound guardians through the power of truth.

Along the journey, village after village in Zanskar extended elaborate welcomes and escorts in succession, and as he continued on his way, Guru Vajradhara bestowed blessings upon the many faithful monastics and laypeople of the various monasteries and villages, and performed ablution, consecration, and blessing rites for numerous sacred representations at the monasteries. Having passed through a succession of official receptions of varying scale, he finally arrived at Karsha Phodrang, the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Padum, the capital of Zanskar.

There, he was received with a traditional golden procession and escorted into the main temple, where the organizing committees jointly offered a mandala, the three sacred representations, and the ceremonial tea and sweet rice. Following this, Guru Vajradhara retired to his chambers to rest.
