On the morning of July 12, 2026, in response to a request by the government and people of Zanskar concerning the expansion and new construction of the temple and sacred representations at Druzin Phodrang, the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as well as the groundbreaking ceremony for a new replica of Nepal's Boudhanath Stupa, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited the construction sites. There, he performed smoke and golden beverage offerings, together with other offering rituals, and chanted verses of auspiciousness. In the evening, he graciously bestowed upon the local monastic community and the faithful people of the region the reading transmission of the Chöd liturgy known as the "Jewel Garland Chöd Feasts." On the following morning, after granting a special audience to the leaders of the various organizing committees, Guru Vajradhara departed from his residence together with the government escort delegation. At the foot of the self-arisen Mahakala Mountain, in accordance with arrangements made by the local people of Zanskar, he performed a smoke offering and an entrustment of enlightened activity, and granted an audience to the people assembled there. At the summit of Shinku La Pass, he performed smoke and golden beverage offerings and raised wind-horse prayer flags. At the Treebo Hotel in Jispa, Lahaul, he accepted a lunch offering before continuing his journey. In the evening, he arrived safely at Palpung Yeshi Rabgyeling Nunnery in Kullu, Manali.
