This transmission is compulsoy for students who didn't received all previous years but not the Year 7 of the Mahamudra Ocean of Definitive Meaning by Guru Vajradhara in order to further receive the pointing out instructions.

At the request of many Mahamudra students, Guru Vajradhara has now kindly agreed to bestow the remaining sections of the Mahamudra Ocean of Definitive Meaning transmission—including the pointing out the nature of mind instructions, concluding topics, and supplementary teachings—which he hasn't transmitted during any previous English-language transmissions.

Discovering the Buddha Within Program Summary

This three-year curriculum, designed by Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, is an experiential learning program of the Buddha Dharma. Created in response to requests from Palpung Dharma Centers, its goal is to make the essence of the Buddha's teachings accessible and comprehensive for any audience.

Program Structure & Methodology

• The program follows the Buddha’s teachings on the Three Turnings of the Wheel of Dharma and the Four Tantras, corresponding to three gradual levels of discovering the nature of mind and phenomena.
• It is designed for a foreign audience, with a strong emphasis on direct experience through meditation, including practices like Shamatha (calm abiding) and Vipashyana (advanced insight).
• Each level of the curriculum covers three core aspects according to the Shravakayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana perspectives:
  • View: Intellectual understanding.
  • Meditation: Experiential understanding.
  • Application: Integrating understanding into daily life.

Commitment & Support

• Commitment:
  • For newcomers: A minimum of 10 minutes of daily practice for 30 consecutive days.
  • For existing practitioners: Their current practice fulfills the commitment.
• Support:
  • Students have access to monthly review classes led by an appointed kyorpön (teaching assistant), available both online and in person.
  • An online study platform is provided to further strengthen understanding.
  • A practice guideline is available for students who wish to use the program as their main daily practice.

This program is open to everyone, Buddhist and non-Buddhists, who can join and benefit from it regardless of their prior experience, as its teachings are rooted in universal values.
