About this transmission: -
Show IntroductionAmong the vast array of enlightened forms that appear for the benefit of beings,
White Tara — known in Tibetan as Drolma Karmo— is particularly important.
She is the embodiment of compassionate activity in its most tender and
immediate expression: the activity of protecting life, dispelling illness, and
granting longevity to those who aspire to use their precious human existence in
the service of the Dharma.
Tara herself is said to have arisen from the tears of Avalokiteśvara, shed at the
sight of the boundless suffering of sentient beings. From Avalokiteśvara’s tears
of unbearable compassion, she took form, vowing to act swiftly and tirelessly
for the liberation of all. Where Green Tara embodies swift, dynamic
compassionate action, White Tara expresses the deeper stillness of that same
compassion — vast, serene, and all-pervading.
During these five days of transmission, Guru Vajradhara, His Holiness the 12th
Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, will bestow upon us, through his profound
teachings, the wisdom of White Tara. On the sixth and final day, he will
empower us to practice her sadhana — opening the door for each of us to enter
her wisdom and to carry her blessings into our daily practice.

About this transmission: -
Show IntroductionFollowing this precious transmission, we are offered the rare opportunity to
immediately put these teachings into practice through a seven-day White Tara
retreat, led by a senior lama of Palpung Sherabling Monastery.
This retreat will provide the ideal conditions to deepen our connection with
White Tara — allowing the empowerment and instructions we have received to
take root in our mindstream through sustained practice, recitation of her mantra,
and meditation on her form.
The senior lama will guide us in detail through the visualisations of the sādhana,
ensuring that each practitioner gains a clear and confident understanding of how
to actually engage in this practice.
Held in an atmosphere of silence, simplicity, and devotion, these seven days
offer a space to step back from the busyness of ordinary life and genuinely apply
ourselves to the path.
Such an opportunity — to receive a complete transmission and immediately
enter into retreat under qualified guidance — is truly exceptional. We are invited
to approach these days with wholehearted commitment, knowing that the merit
and realizations generated in retreat do not remain for ourselves alone, but
radiate outward for the benefit of all sentient beings.
